Ken Blinko, a local solo guitarist, joins me in the Charlotte Community Radio Station studios, during Voices From The Community, to talk about his music career.

I had the good pleasure of meeting Ken Blinko while seeking out Jazz In And Around Charlotte at Cafe Monte. When he started playing, I noticed a difference in the sound and wondered why the “Sound Hole” was in a different position. I didn’t get the chance to inquire that night, but I definitely plan on getting schooled on guitar parts, sound hole positions and his magnificent playing style today.

Fair Game Topic Of The Week: Matters Of The Heart

Heart Shaped Pinterest ImageIf you’ve tuned into Fair Game before then you know we talk a lot about dating. We’ve discussed the do’s and don’ts of dating a few times and even talked about not being ready to date. This week on Fair Game, VickyRo, Pierrea Javon and NellyP are diving all the way in and discussing Matters Of The Heart.

We’ve all had our share of “breakups” to “makeups” and sometimes even back to breaking up. How do you move on and what happens when one person moves on and the other doesn’t? How do you handle the rejection? Maybe it’s a mutual split and you both know you just don’t need to be together.

When dealing with Matters Of The Heart life gets real tricky! We’re all still figuring it out and we want you to tell us what you think you’ve learned so far.

Fair Game Topic Of The Week: Men vs Women

Men vs WomenThe classic phrase and book title, Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, is not too far fetched. Men and women can view the exact same situation completely different. Men may feel like women overreact or overthink things, while women feel like men don’t think things through enough.

This week on Fair Game, Pierrea Javon, NellyP and another “Fair Guy” weigh in on the Fair Game Topic Of The Week: Men vs Women. The hosts will discuss how guys feel about certain things versus how women feel.

Let’s chat about how we all feel about the rise of the side chick. We’re going to find out what men prefer in a woman’s appearance. And those topics are just to get us started!
