In the beginning, we set out to secure a spot on the FM dial as an LPFM licensed community radio station here in Charlotte. Being cost prohibitive, we decided to launch an internet-based community radio station instead. Some people told us we wouldn’t be able to do it and that nobody would listen to an internet-based radio station. Well, over our 2.5 years of LIVE broadcasting and as of this writing, we had 55,688 total listens. We’re thinkin’ that’s pretty, wicked awesome!
Our main focus was to #AmplifyYourVoice and the voices of others in the community who often go unheard and we are proud in the knowing that we did just that.
We have a ton of people to thank so let us say THANKS TO EVERYONE who listened and supported our efforts. We Appreciate You!
Charlotte Community Radio Will Go Off Air
