We just passed the second biggest “Single Awareness Day” of the year New Year’s Eve and now the #1, Valentine’s Day, is right around the corner. So I have decided to bring in the big guns, Laurie Carson Berzack, owner and president of Carolinas Matchmaker and Executive Jewish Matchmaker at Chai Expectations. She was recently voted one of the top 5 matchmakers in the world by the iDate Awards.
Laurie started her matchmaking service in 2006 when she saw a need for it in Charlotte and wanted to make her life’s passion her work. Laurie’s track record is astounding, 4 out of 5 of her matches find commitment within the first year
Matchmaking has had a very colorful history and continues to be a source of fascination for me. Beginning in the 16th century with arranged marriages and dowries, to spiritual leader doing set-ups, and now we have dating apps and websites.
I am hoping Laurie can help us make sense of it all and talk about the alternatives to online dating. She brings years of expertise, passion, and research to the table and along with being a matchmaker, she is a relationship expert. So if you find yourself single at the moment or not, join me during my Not Your Boyfriend’s Radio Hour show on Monday, February 6th at 7:00pm LIVE via Charlotte Community Radio as I believe my talk with Laurie will be valuable to you.
Not Your Boyfriend’s Radio Hour, hosted by Amelia Coughlin, airs every other Monday from 7:00pm to 8:00pm via CharlotteCommunityRadio.org, CLTCRadio.org or Mixlr.com/CLTCRadio where you can chat with our hosts.
