After reading the “The First 90 Days” by Michael Watkins, I learned that the strengths that may have helped you land a position may actually have the potential of being liabilities down the road. It is considered a mistake to believe you will be successful in a new job by continuing to do what you did in an old job. Get ready for an intensive conversation with Gary Cohen, Information Technology professional.
Gary Cohen has worked professionally in the information technology field for over twenty years. He has earned certifications in software development, project management, and counseling psychology. For the last ten years, Gary has been a member of Toastmasters International where he has delivered hundreds of speeches, presented workshops at conferences, and served in many leadership positions with increasing responsibility. Gary continuously seeks opportunities to continue his professional development because he enjoys challenging himself and exploring the boundaries of who he can become.
During my next Nine to Five show on Charlotte Community Radio, Gary and I will discuss four reasons why professional development is essential. We will also talk about things that might be preventing you from making professional development a priority. Lastly, we’ll share tips on how you can start developing yourself and how you can make it a part of your career.
Listen to my LIVE show on Tuesday, January 23rd from 6:45pm to 7:45pm when Gary Cohen and I talk about making professional development a priority while working Nine to Five.
Nine to Five, hosted by Doneisha Wilson, airs LIVE every other Tuesday from 6:45 pm to 7:45 pm via CharlotteCommunity Radio.org, CLTCRadio.org OR use the Mixlr app where you can listen and chat with our hosts and guests alike. It’s time to take your job search to the next level.
