Sarah Baucom and Carrie Barker are the Charlotte natives behind the wildly popular and successful Pink Social Girl Tribe. What sets these two apart from everyone else that has a great idea is that they acted on it and continue to dream bigger.
Carrie and Sarah went to high school together and reconnected after college. Sarah confided in Carrie that she had dreams of owning her own boutique and Carrie said she would be happy to help with branding. Their ideas continued to evolve and became Pink Social, a boutique with many products inscribed with entertaining catchphrases. The business met great success in the first year and continues to grow.
Sarah and Carrie attributed much of their early success to the motivation they gave each other and wanted to find a way to share this with other women, and Pink Social Girl Tribe was born. What was started as a group for women supporting women has expanded to thousands of women and several pop-up events a year featuring dozens of female-owned businesses. Recently, Girl Tribe crossed state lines into Greenville, South Carolina and the first pop-up event is set for December 3rd. The next Charlotte-based, Girl Tribe Pop Up will be December 10th at Sugar Creek Brewery.
