Kevin Shimko is an improviser and actor who resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
After religiously watching “Whose Line is it Anyway?” for many years, Kevin’s mother signed him up for improv classes at The Charlotte Comedy Theater when he was only fourteen. It was there that he would come into his own. He was part of the main cast by fifteen and never looked back. By sixteen, he was cast as a member of the Ensemble Acting Company at The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, where he spent two years training and performing with this wonderful group of artists.
Kevin is a graduate of the People’s Improv Theater improv program in NYC. He has been a member of two house teams, Barcelona ’92 and Classic Anne. He also co-created and co-hosted The Two-Night Show, which was a late night variety program.
Now, Kevin performs and teaches regularly at the Charlotte Comedy Theater and other venues throughout the city. I am super pumped to have him on the show and to talk about his improv career, plus what his experience of living in New York was like. We will end the show with an improv scene so don’t miss this one.
