Thanks to everyone who listened to my first Blow The Whistles show on Charlotte Community Radio. Every other Monday, my show airs LIVE at 6:00pm and you can listen directly from the website or, if you want to comment while listening, use the Mixlr app and join the conversation.

Here’s what’s in store for the second show:

Colin Kaepernick’s decision not to stand during the National Anthem caused nothing short of a national storm when it first occurred. Now, after weeks of media coverage, the backlash from some, and support from others, is Kaepernick’s intent finally being recognized?

Football season is finally here, and what better way to ring in the new year than with a Super Bowl rematch? The Panthers and Broncos, along with their 30 other NFL foes kickoff the new NFL season this weekend, beginning with a rendition of Super Bowl 50. All things won’t look the same, however. Seven teams dawn new head coaches, two rookie quarterbacks will start the regular season for their teams (Dallas fans hold your excitement), and the football is back in the City of Angels. The NFL will once again take center stage. Don’t forget about Saturdays though! Coming off the greatest opening weekend in College Football history, this week’s slate will see less Top 25 clashes, but that doesn’t mean upsets won’t loom. All of this and more will be covered Monday, September 12th on Blow The Whistles.

So, whether you want to discuss the social and ethical impact of Colin Kaepernick’s protest, need Fantasy Football advice for next week, or if you’re looking to pick the next big College Football upset, search no longer. I will have all the answers during my next show.
