Brandon Brown has led a life of passionately following sports in North Carolina, often attending Carolina Panthers, ACC, and Minor League Baseball games throughout the state.
As a former basketball and track and field athlete, Brandon is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he spent extracurricular time as a manager, film coordinator of the Men’s Basketball Team, where he followed some of the top athletes at the collegiate level.
After years of passionate debates over various sports topics, Brandon will make his radio debut with Blow The Whistles on Charlotte Community Radio, August 29th at 6:00pm.
Blow The Whistles is a talk show focused on Charlotte area professional and collegiate teams. Brandon plans to cover everything from the latest news surrounding teams to scores and statistical trends, to one-on-one interviews with athletes, coaches, and figures from the world of sports. Blow The Whistles will also feature a segment highlighting moments in Charlotte sports history, as well as Brandon’s insight and opinion on the week’s sports scene. The aim of the show is to inform listeners of results and news from local teams, provide an athlete’s point of view, hear opinions from a young man’s standpoint, and bridge the gap between the world of sports and Charlotte Community Radio in support of the teams in the area.
