Photo of Letron "LTrain" BrantleyHe’s been actively playing the saxophone since he was 15 years old, and his heavy influences include Jazz, Gospel, and R&B music. They call him “LTrain” and on Thursday, April 14th during Voices From The Community I’ll talk with him about his musical journey, his current show schedule and upcoming release.

Letron “LTrain” Brantley studied music at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, allowing him to hone his craft as well as perform with various Jazz, Soul, and Funk groups. During his musical career, Letron performed with many great musicians and performers such as Jazz recording artist Bob Mintzer, saxophonist Lenny Picket of the Saturday Night Live band, and Gospel recording artist Donnie McClurkin to name a few. Currently, Letron serves as the musical director for the Nicci Canada Jazz Orchestra as well as band leader for the regional Jazz and Dance band Jazz Revolution.  He’s an active music community supporter and clinician who is dedicated to the mission of embracing and encouraging musicians like himself to be persistent in their craft while always striving for excellence.
