Monday, April 11th, Simply aPauling airs on Charlotte Community Radio from 9pm to 10pm and my in-studio guest this week is good friend Nick Alexander. Nick was one of the first stand-up comedians I met when I moved to Charlotte and we got along from the beginning. We had a lot in common outside of comedy, and I blame him for getting me addicted to WWE again.
Before doing comedy, Nick lived in Las Vegas as a professional poker player, and if you’re wondering how that went, there’s a reason he’s back in Charlotte doing comedy open mic nights. Nick covers a wide range of subjects from growing up in the ‘90s to politics, to the irresponsibility and laziness of his generation. He’s showcased his witty, playful, and well crafted jokes at music venues, comedy clubs, theaters and bars throughout a significant part of the country…depending on your definition of significant. Nick has worked with Bobcat Goldthwait, Andy Sandford, Joe Zimmerman and Chris D’Elia, he’s been featured on College Humor, was part of the mildly successful sketch group KYC Comedy, and hopes to one day be able to make eye contact with strangers. He’s one of the hardest working comedians in Charlotte right now, and I can’t wait to sit down and talk to him about his past and future.
Simply aPauling, hosted by Paul Pallotta, airs every other Monday from 9:00pm to 10:00pm via CharlotteCommunityRadio.org, CLTCRadio.org or Mixlr.com/CLTCRadio where you can chat with our guests and hosts during the show.
