Although Ashley Horton is not a Charlotte native, she carved out a home and wonderful reputation for herself in our fair city’s animal activist community.
Monday, May 2nd on Charlotte Community Radio from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, my Not Your Boyfriend’s Radio Hour guest is Animal Rights Activist, Ashley Horton who grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania surrounded by several family members who were active in the military. Aside from Ashley’s petite stature, it was no surprise when she decided to join the Marine Corps. After retiring from a seven year period in the Marines, Ashley found herself at a difficult crossroad and thought that an animal companion might do her some good. It was at this point, she adopted her beloved Boxer Bailey, whom she credits with giving her a new lease on life.
Motivated by her experience with Bailey, Ashley became involved with animal rescue, fostering and training in Charlotte. She is now Vice President and Co-Chair of Save-A-Paw and has created her own pet concierge business, Yellow Paw Prints.
Ashley has devoted her life to saving animals and educating the masses on the many ways we can help and respect animals. Her knowledge and passion for the animal community in Charlotte is supreme and infectious.
Please do yourself and our animal community a favor and lend us your ear on Monday, May 2nd at 7:00pm. I promise you will walk away more informed and impassioned about what is happening to the animals’ right here in our community.
