Ana Lucia Divins was a speaker at Ignite Charlotte 3 where she delivered a 5 minute talk about her Passion of Latin American Boleros. That talk came with a little something extra, she sang while educating us and the information she shared back in 2011 captivated my senses enough to want to learn more about her.
Ana is a Colombian-American singer located in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is passionate about inspiring a greater awareness of the richness of the Latino culture, rhythms and art. Since 2014, her acoustic performances with the duet Café Amaretto featured a mixture of jazz, blues and smooth Latin American folk music. Her partner, Carlos Crespo, originally from Ecuador, plays guitar and has led several musical projects exploring and gaining experience in a diverse range of music styles nationally and internationally. Now, their music goes from jazzy romantic boleros to swingy happy jazz songs, and on Tuesday, March 15th, Ana will be in-studio during my Voices From The Community show.
Voices From The Community, hosted by Bridget B., airs Monday through Friday from 2pm to 5pm via CharlotteCommunityRadio.org or CLTCRadio.org. Feel free to ask a question of our hosts and/or guests while you listen via Mixlr.com/CLTCRadio.
